The family was outgrowing their home so we worked with them to plan this 680 sq ft extension which would give them a spacious master suite, an extra bedroom, a new laundry room, a larger bathroom for the kids to share, and a much larger living room. The homeowners worked with Anura (https://anuradesign.com/) to create the architectural and engineering plans. Our team helped value engineer the project so we could fit in more work at the homeowner's desired budget. The overarching goal was to have the downstairs as a spacious and welcoming area for the family to hangout and have guests while the upstairs would have all the functions necessary to accommodate the family's needs.
For the work done, we started off with the structural and framing to extend the structure. Once we completed these inspections, we cut into the home and started the plumbing, electrical, insulation and drywall work. The walls were finished at a level 4 smooth. We used 8" wide engineered hardwood oak flooring, and the bathrooms were all beautifully designed by the homeowner.
