The goal was to freshen up the space, make it more functional for the owners, all while avoiding any structural changed so we had to made do with the existing layout of the kitchen. We put in new custom fitted cabinets so we could install a much larger 8 burner, double oven Viking stove. We built a custom vent cover to avoid oversaturating the room with stainless steel. We also built in the microwave and refrigerator into the cabinets. For plumbing additions, we added a pot-filler, a sink at the beverage counter, and another sink into the island.
For countertops, our clients chose 2 different colors; a charcoal porcelain for the beverage counter and counters around the stove. Then we went with a lighter porcelain for the backsplash and island. To create storage, we added full height 9' closets with pull out drawers. The island also has closets with built in pull out drawers.
